About this home

Bring your boat, your building plans, and your love for the outdoors—this 1.57± acre Cherokee Lakefront homesite in Chelaque Phase I (Lot 111R) is the perfect place to create a relaxing lake retreat or full-time home. Tucked inside a gated community in Mooresburg, this mostly wooded lot offers the best of East Tennessee living with Cherokee Lake views, lake access, and lakefront enjoyment right outside your door. The land rises gently from the road and then levels off, providing a natural building area that's ideal for a home designed to take in the mountains and water. Spend your days cruising the lake, fishing, or simply unwinding on a future deck as the breeze moves through the trees. Chelaque's amenities add to the lifestyle with a clubhouse, picnic pavilion, pickleball court, community boat ramp, and marina (slips available at additional cost). Modern conveniences are in place with electric, cable, and fiber internet available at the road. Well and septic are needed, and the lot was perked for a 2-bedroom septic at the time of development. Community standards help protect value with site-built homes only and a minimum 1,400 sq ft finished. HOA fees are $690/year. A unique feature of this property is a small historic cemetery area with two marked graves (John Proffitt and his wife, Lucy Crockett Proffitt—Davy Crockett's cousin), a quiet piece of local heritage that should not interfere with building. If you've been waiting for a lakefront setting with views, amenities, and room to build, this Chelaque lot is ready to welcome you home.
